The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Rivers State Sector Command, recently held a formal decoration ceremony for officers and men promoted in the latest promotion exercise.
The event, held at the Command premises in Port Harcourt, brought together the newly promoted officers, their families, and senior officials of the Corps in a grand celebration.
According to a statement by Route Commander Amarachi Ekwere, Sector Public Education Officer, a total of 15 officers and 41 marshals were decorated.
Ekwere described the promotion as a recognition of the hard work and dedication of the recipients, who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the FRSC’s mission of ensuring road safety.
Rivers State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Inyang E. Umoh, congratulated the honorees and urged them to rise to the expectations that come with their new ranks.
“Promotion is not just a reward for good work, but also a call to higher responsibility,” he said.
Assistant Corps Marshal Henry Benamaisia, Zonal Commanding Officer of Zone 6, echoed the remarks, reminding the promoted officers and marshals that their new positions carry greater responsibilities.
He called on them to remain committed to discipline, dedication, and selfless service, while continuing to collaborate with sister agencies to advance the Corps’ road safety mission.
The ceremony celebrated not only individual achievements but also the ongoing commitment of the FRSC to maintaining high standards of professionalism and service to the nation.
