FUOYE to spend N1b on perimeter fencing

Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has proposed to spend N1 billion to provide security on the two campuses of the institution. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, revealed this yesterday in Oye-Ekiti during a press conference heralding the second combined convocation of the institution slated for August 31, 2019.

Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has proposed to spend N1 billion to provide security on the two campuses of the institution.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, revealed this yesterday in Oye-Ekiti during a press conference heralding the second combined convocation of the institution slated for August 31, 2019.
Soremekun said the university also budgeted N100 million as a research grant to academic and research fellows in the university.
He added that the institution was desirous of more breakthroughs that would benefit the country, having recognised research as a task any ivory tower must undertake.
No fewer than 35 of the 1,000 graduating students made first class.
