Yobe State Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has tasked the new Head of Service (HoS), Saleh Abubakar, Permanent Secretary and two members of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) and Fiscal Responsibility Board (FRB) on the responsibility of providing leadership and directions to Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.

Gaidam gave the charges yesterday, while inaugurating the HoS, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, Saboli Muhammed Gwio-Kura and two members of the commission and board, Baba Gishiwari and Ali Garga Bulama at the Government House, Damaturu.

He said their appointments and subsequent swearing into office marks yet another important milestone in the annals of the history of the state government.

Gaidam said that Abubakar had an impressive record of service before his appointment as Head of Service and it was this yardstick that informed his appointment.

He said Abubakar is tasked with the responsibility of providing leadership and direction to all government MDAs in the state, adding that the office of HoS is also
the custodian of ethics, ethos, traditions and conventions of public service.

Gaidam tasked Abubakar to further re-position all staff in the State Civil Service to possess the right skills; attitudes and motivation to enable them perform their work effectively and efficiently.
