Members of the 1991 Set of Omu-Aran Government Secondary School Old Boys Association (OGSSOBA), yesterday, honoured 21 prominent sons of Omu-Aran in Irepodun Local Council of Kwara State.

Leading the pack of the awardees at the alumni’s 30th reunion was the President, Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA), Maj-Gen. Lasisi Abidoye (rtd.), who was honoured as an exceptional leader.

Nineteen of the awardees, who were either former principals or teachers in the school, got N50,000 each for their selfless service to the school.

The event was staged to honour the RX teachers, described as harbingers of socio-political and economic developments in the town.

According to the Chairman of the 1991 Set Reunion Committee, Joseph Babatunde, the programme was initiated for the honourees to appreciate them while living and to serve as morale-booster to those presently rendering service to the school and the community at large.
