The General Leader and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (Ayo Ni O), Surulere District, Lagos, Senior Special Apostle Sunday Funsho Korede is dead. He died at the age 73.

The church, in a statement, said its leader died on Sunday, November 26, without stating cause of his death.

Korode took over the mantle of leadership from the late General Leader, Prophet Gabriel Fakeye. Before his death, The Guardian gathered that the late Korode was never present at most of the church’s activities.

Announcing the death of their leader, the church said: “With gratitude to God for a life well spent; a life of devoted service, commitment and total submission to His will, the Elders and entire membership of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Surulere District and the illustrious Korode family of Omu-Aran, Kwara State, announce the transition to glory of our Chairman/General Leader, son…Senior Special Apostle Sunday Funso Korede on Sunday, November 26, 2023, aged 73.”

Describing the late Korode as a true prophet of God, the statement added: “His passage fills our hearts with deep sorrow.’’
