Ghana private medical university appoints Aremu as governing council chairman
Nigerian-born Prof Bashiru Aremu has commended the President/Chancellor of Kings & Queens Medical University College, Ghana, Professor Dr. Jerryson Ameworgbe Gidisu for considering him worthy and qualified on his recent appointment as the Chairman, Board of Governing Council of the first Ghana’s Private Accredited Medical University.
VC CUICI, USA made the commendation on Thursday, December 21, 2023, in a statement made available newsmen by UNESCO laureate’s Executive Assistant On Media, Publicity and Communication Matters, Comrade Sir Bieni Victor Emenike as Aremu promises best global practices in the discharge of his duties as Chairman.
The UNESCO laureate, while thanking the Chancellor of Kings and Queens Medical University College, Ghana for the appointment and opportunity to serve the University as Governing Council Chairman, commended the Academic & Non-academic staff for recruiting academicians who are committed to seeing students succeed in the field of Medicine and Healthcare Delivery globally.
Prof Aremu added that Kings & Queens Medical University College is not just a home for research and education, however, outstanding as it was established precisely to provide quality education, training, research and consultancy.
Prof Dr. Jerryson Ameworgbe Gidisu, the President/Chancellor of Kings & Queens Medical University College, Ghana in a statement said Aremu’s “appointment is informed of your contributions to the field of education in Nigeria and the world at large, your integrity, moral standing added with your vast experience in higher education administration which we pray you will bring to bear in nurturing this nascent global Medical University.”
