GKS begins celebration of Christ’s birthday on October 5

God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) will begin celebrating Jesus Christ’s birthday on Sunday, October 5, and continue through the following Sundays in the month.

Acting Publicity Secretary of the church, Emmanuel Oriaku, in a statement, said the activities, tagged: “Freedom Day”, would hold at various centres in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States of America on designated dates, according to a schedule that had been drawn up for the event this year.

The celebration, according to the statement, would feature sermons, musical performances and special thanksgiving to God. While the main sermon for the services is the key address of the GKS President, Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun, entitled: “The Just Shall Live By Faith” and “Was Christ Born On Christmas Day?”
