Customers of telecommunications company, Globacom, are to enjoy affordable roaming data with family and friends back home while performing their holy pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina.

Consequently, the company has unveiled a special Glo Data roaming package in partnership with Zain Saudi Arabia to make the religious obligation seamless, as customers enjoy its data services in the Holy Land for as low as N5/MB.

Glo explained in a press release issued in Lagos that pilgrims would get 3GB for N15,000 with 30 days validity, 1.25GB for N6,500 with 15 days validity, 600MB for N3,500 with seven days validity and 300MB for just N2,000 with 3 days validity.

“Besides its affordability, the data bundle can be purchased while in Nigeria and its validity starts when the subscriber lands in the Holy Land,” the firm explained.

According to the telecommunications company, “subscribers are also in control of their usage and there are no fears of additional billing, as they only use from the bundle they purchase. Glo also ensures that customers receive consumption messages several times to enable them monitor depletion of the data purchased.”

The operator noted that since roaming services are activated by default on prepaid lines, subscribers should have sufficient balance on their account, while postpaid subscribers must activate roaming service before they choose any of the available bundles.

Aside this special offer for Muslim pilgrims, the company has a roaming partnership in Saudi Arabia and several other countries.
