Global Affairs honours Ighodalo, others at maiden award ceremony

Global Affairs Magazine (GAM) has held its maiden award of excellence ceremony for outstanding humanitarian works.

Global Affairs Magazine (GAM) has held its maiden award of excellence ceremony for outstanding humanitarian works.

According to the organisers, the award presentation ceremony, with the theme: “Touching Hands, Healing Hearts,” is designed to honour Nigerians for their commendable hard work in various aspects of life.

Archbishop Bishop K.O. Kalu was awarded a lifetime achievement award, while Senior Pastor of Trinity Church, Ituah Ighodalo, bagged an award in recognition of his humanitarian works.

Also, former President of African Movie Producers and Filmmakers, Madu Chikwendu, President of Africa Blind Foundation, Phil Osagie and others were also honoured.

GAM publisher and editor- in- chief, Regina Robison, said the occasion affords the magazine the opportunity to show their potential and values.

“I have always looked forward to this assembly for the conferment of Awards to deserving humanitarian as it afford us the opportunity to encourage humanitarian works and to let the world know that you begin to succeed with your life when the hurts and problems of others matters to you because the beauty of life is not about how happy you are but how happy others can be because of you,” she said.

Chairman of GAM, Rev. Samuel Ikpea, said: “The awards in its entirety celebrates individuals and bodies whom have over the years supported life changing cause, especially in the areas of health and most prominently the less privileged, physically challenged and children with special needs as well as the teeming youth population.

“GAMA is an innovator award ceremony that distinguished itself from the rest by taking into account the might that seemly seems smalls and showcasing the effect on a larger society for all to see and emulate.”
