As part of activities to commemorate the 65th birthday of Ituah Ighodalo, Senior Pastor of Trinity House, the 6th edition of the yearly colloquium will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Trinity House, Zion Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event is being organised by Trinity House in conjunction with the Truine Foundation.

The colloquium, scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m., will bring together distinguished leaders from across governance, academia, civil society, and the private sector to deliberate on the theme “The Future of Nigeria.” The gathering is expected to provide a robust platform for thought leadership, national reflection, and actionable dialogue on Nigeria’s socio-economic and political trajectory.

The event will be chaired by former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, who will also deliver the keynote address. Discussants for this year’s colloquium include the Director General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Eghosa Osaghae; lawyer and social development expert, Maryam Uwais; Professor of Economics at Lagos Business School, Bongo Adi; a pioneer Executive Director of Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE), Opeyemi Adamolekun, and Co-founder of Andela and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Future Africa, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji.  

The yearly colloquium, now in its sixth edition, was instituted in honour of Pastor Ighodalo as a strategic platform to engage critical issues affecting Nigeria and the African continent. It continues to serve as a forum for proffering solutions, fostering dialogue, and examining the role of leadership, governance, and the church in nation-building.

Pastor Ighodalo is widely regarded for his commitment to national development, leadership grooming, and societal transformation. Through various platforms, including the Truine Foundation and the Africa Leadership Group, he has consistently championed initiatives aimed at empowering individuals, strengthening institutions, and contributing to a more equitable and prosperous society.
