Goje returns to Senate as PDP shines with Dankwambo, others
Former Governor Danjuma Goje of Gombe State has been re-elected to the Senate alongside his successor, Ibrahim Dankwambo and Tony Yaro.
While Goje secured a fourth term victory on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Gombe Central, Dankwambo and Yaro, both of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), won Gombe North and South seats.
Sustaining its impressive outing, the main opposition PDP cleared five of the six House of Representatives seats, leaving one for the ruling APC in the state.
Ali Isa and Inuwa Garba won Balanga/Billiri and Yamaltu-Deba for the PDP.
Also, the trio of Yaya Bauchi Tongo, Obed Paul Shehu, and Bala Rasheed of PDP clinched Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye; Dukku/Nafada and Kaltungo/Shongom seats for the PDP, while Usman Kumo secured Akko for the APC.
