Gombe governor appoints 3,078 aides

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, yesterday, approved the appointment of 3,078 development facilitators in the 11 councils of the state.

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, yesterday, approved the appointment of 3,078 development facilitators in the 11 councils of the state.

Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, disclosed this in a statement issued in Gombe by the Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, Gombe, Ismaila Uba Missili, saying that the appointees will serve as community representatives in the 114 wards of the state.

“The appointees will facilitate community engagement in sensitising and enlightening government policies and programmes, as well as inter-governmental relations between the state and councils.”

“There will be 20 development facilitators I and 250 development facilitators II for each council with 10 wards, while 11 wards will have 22 development facilitators I and 275 facilitators II each,” the statement reads.

Missili said the appointments take effect from January 1, 2022.
