Gombe to build 90 new nomadic schools
Gombe State government has concluded plans to construct 90 additional nomadic schools, bringing the total to 180, to improve nomadic education in the state.
The executive chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Mr. Babaji Babadidi, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Gombe yesterday.
According to him, the 90 nomadic schools spread across the 11 councils of the state are inadequate.
His words, “This time around, the 90 new schools will be in form of collapsible tent, not like the previous ones, so that the teachers can easily dismantle them and follow the pupils in case of migration.”
