Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has condemned the recent bandits’ attacks in Chiromawa, Garum-Mallam, Beli in Rogo, Bebeji and Gwarzo councils, declaring decisive action against the criminals.
While sympathising with the victims and families affected by the attacks, he described the incidents as deeply disturbing and unacceptable, and assured the affected communities that his administration was taking necessary measures to strengthen security and protect lives and property.
Yusuf said the government would take all necessary measures, in collaboration with security agencies, to prevent further attacks and restore confidence among residents. He added that relevant authorities have been directed to strengthen surveillance, intelligence gathering and rapid response mechanisms in the affected areas.
The governor further urged residents of the affected communities to remain calm and avoid actions that could heighten tension, even as he appealed to them to cooperate with security personnel and provide credible information that could assist in preventing further attacks and apprehending the perpetrators.
