Worried that facilities donated by governments and corporate bodies were allowed to dilapidate by beneficiaries, Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, yesterday, told communities to henceforth take full ownership of such properties and guard them from being vandalised.

Ikpeazu, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Ude Oko Chukwu, said this while commissioning a model classroom block donated to Community Model High School, Isieke Ibeku, Abia State by Star Deepwater Petroleum Ltd, a subsidiary of Chevron Company.

The Governor, while thanking the donor, assured that government would not only protect the integrated learning centre, but also deploy qualified teachers and staff to ensure its best and effective use.
