The apex socio-cultural organisation in Ogun West, Yewa Development Forum (YDF), has endorsed the standard-bearer of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, for the 2019 governorship election in the state.

Consequently, the group will tomorrow meet with the ADC candidate in Abeokuta to present him a position paper.

To lead the high-powered eight-man delegation is the president of the forum, Alhaji Ayo Adeyemi. He is to be accompanied by other prominent citizens of Yewa Land, including erstwhile Commissioner for National Boundary Commission, Professor Anthony Asiwaju; former Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Rahman Bello; Professor Tope Popoola; Dr. Ademola Ogunleye; Director of Project, Yewa Development Programme, Mr. Wasiu Fagbohun; Secretary General, Mr. Semiu Fatogun and Alhaja Balikis Abiola.

In a chat yesterday with The Guardian, Adeyemi said it was imperative to support Isiaka, as he is the only candidate from Ogun West senatorial district, the only zone yet to produce governor since the creation of the state over 40 years ago.
