The Good Governance Group (G3), a group of like-minds with the goal of creating awareness and building human capacity aimed at filling the gaps in the political space, will on Saturday, October 16, 2021 host a training for people with the theme: “Constitutional Review,” at the Global Impact Church, Ifako Bus-Stop, Ogudu, Lagos State, by 10:00 a.m.

Founder of Global Impact Church and host of the event, Pastor Yemi Davids, said: “This is why we want to make a difference by creating awareness and building human capacity aimed at raising leaders that would deliver dividends of democracy to the people through political discourse on national and international issues and communicate with discretion the suggestions/outcomes of such gatherings to the public.”

Also, Co-ordinator of the group, Joseph Adewale Rennaiye, said the training aimed to sensitise the public to be active participants in the nation’s democratic experience because of the seeming lukewarm attitude of many people towards politics and governance.

He said: “Politics and governance have guiding principles that must be studied and understood to ensure success. In view of this, this event is aimed at ensuring participants learn the rudiments for playing in the political and governance space, particularly on how to utilise the constitution as a tool for good governance.

“We also seek to set up an Institute of Good Governance and seek alliances with local and international political institutes to train and re-train competent people and professionals across various disciplines to enable them develop capacity to help solve complex problems facing leaders in the public sector.”

Facilitators at the event include Kunle Lawal and Ferdy ‘Ladi Adimefe.
