The Edo State Police Command has been commended for its efforts so far at curbing criminality in parts of the state.

A group, Concerned Edo Youth, which gave the kudos yesterday in Benin City, also urged the command to sensitise the youths on the danger of electoral violence, cultism and cult-related activities with a view to conducting a peaceful governorship election later this year in the state.

The group’s state coordinators for Edo Central and South senatorial districts, Solomon Okoduwa and Kelvin Omoruyi applauded the way and manner the state Police Commissioner, Chris Ezike, had combated crime, especially cultism, in the state.

Okuduwa, specifically, eulogised the police boss for his boldness and approach to curtailing cult-related issues that had bedeviled the state and claimed lives of many youths whom he termed the future leaders.
