Group seeks implementation of National Disability Act
The Centre for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) has implored the Federal Government to take urgent action to ensure implementation of the National Disability Act and establish the “National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.”
In a statement signed by its Executive Director, David O. Anyaele, the group also commended the leadership of the National Assembly for gazetting the Act.
The group, therefore, tasked the government to show more commitment to ensure that the purpose of the Disability Act, which is for the full integration of persons with disabilities into the society, is attained.
