Group to mobilise 100 million youths to take over Nigeria

Calls On Sowore To Join Them

Dissatisfied with how the current administration is running the country, a group, known as the Visionary Young Nigerian Leaders Initiative (VYNLI) has declared readiness to take over the country’s affairs, saying the future belongs to them. It said youths have the capacity to transform the country, as they constituted 70 per cent of votes that brought President Muhammadu Buhari into power in the last elections.

They also called on Omoyele Sowore to abandon his #Revolutionnow movement and join them, saying his approach is not viable, as he has no grassroots supporters.

Addressing a press in a confrontation in Kaduna, the convener, Hon. James Makeri said: “We will mobilise 100 million youths and women towards achieving this feat. The gerontocrats, who are holding Nigeria hostage through destructive policies and loans, mortgaging the future because their time on the political stage is fast fading, should give way for us to shape the sort of future befitting us and those coming after us.”

He said the youths’ primary aim was to wrestle power from gerontocrats, and not to enrich themselves and satisfy their vanities, for which some youths are notorious.
