Group to tackle farmers/herders clash through training
The Cattleman Feedlot Service Group said it has all it takes to tackle the lingering clashes between farmers and herdsmen in the country.
The group said it would commence training for agri-prenuers on modern ways of cattle rearing, which in return will facilitate growth in the agricultural sector and improve the nation’s economy.
In a statement, yesterday, spokesperson, Mr. Richard Ogundele, said the unmet demands for healthy meat consumption and the clash between farmers and herdsmen necessitated the training.
He said the training, in collaboration with JMSF Agribusiness Nigeria, would be supported by the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science (NIAS), whose registered members will be in attendance.
