Guber polls: Enugu residents pledge support for Ugwuanyi
Ahead of Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections, a cross section of Enugu State residents have assured Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of their votes in appreciation of his good works and commitment to the wellbeing of the masses.
Ugwuanyi who has continued with his door-to-door campaign at the markets, communities and streets of Enugu with the members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) train, received the message from traders at Kenyatta, Coal Camp, Garki and Aria New Markets in Enugu, as well as residents of Aguabor in Enugu East Local Government Area, when he visited them to canvass votes for himself and all other candidates of the party.
At Kenyatta Market, the timber dealers whose sheds were gutted by fire on March 5, 2018, after recalling how Ugwuanyi wiped their tears by rebuilding their burnt shops and providing them succor, told him that they will pay him back with their votes at the polls.
Speaking, the governor told the traders and supporters to take the message that “PDP is the way to go” to their families and neighbourhood, stressing “a vote for Gburugburu is a vote for all the candidates of the PDP in Enugu State.”
