The Guardian gathered that the incident took place at Tse Ngojov and Tse Valem Yaweh of Mbagum community in Tombo about 9:00p.m. on Wednesday.

Logo is the local council of the Chairman, Senate Committee on Power, Gabriel Suswam (PDP, Benue North-East), who was governor of Benue between 2007 and 2015.

Special Adviser to Governor Samuel Ortom on Security, Paul Hembah, who confirmed the incident to journalists, yesterday, noted that the Local Council Chairman, Salome Tor, had earlier briefed him on the incident.

Despite the sad news, he explained that Governor Ortom had directed that the wounded be moved to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), while arrangements should be made to bury the dead.

The Guardian sources in Logo revealed those that lost their lives to the attack as Ander John, Vihior Mtomga, Morgan Varem, Saaior Uyoosu, Aondoyima Tarbo and Peter Asondo, while the injured include Igbaule Valem, Chiater Tarbo and Mrs. Terngu Tyavkase Usue among others.

According to him, the injured persons were receiving treatment at the Ayilamo Primary Health Care centre in Logo.
