The President, Abuja Chamber of Commerce (ACCI) and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode has revealed that the growth of Small, Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) is being threatened by high costs of doing business in Nigeria.

Prince Kayode, who disclosed this yesterday at the ongoing 13th Abuja Trade Fair holding in Abuja, called on Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to stop over charging poor Nigerians writing their test. He urged JAMB to refund the profits to poor parents of these students instead of paying the money to government.

Reacting, the National President, National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Iyalode Alabi Lawson said time has come for government to move away from oil, embrace agriculture and empower the SMEs to take the lead.
