Outgoing Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has declared that his administration constructed over 70 per cent of infrastructure in the state.

Fayose stated this yesterday during the inauguration of a new school in his Afao-Ekiti hometown, as part of his legacy projects.

He urged the incoming administration not to neglect the school, or abandon any of his legacy projects.

Fayose also asked workers to collect their outstanding four months salary arrears from the incoming governor, Kayode Fayemi, adding that the money he intended to pay with, were withheld for the incoming government.

He said: “They paid other states their Paris Club Loan Refunds, but they didn’t pay Ekiti; Fayemi should help me to pay the money.

“They didn’t pay N2.2billion Budget Support Fund; my promise is fulfilled, but the money is with the Federal Government, they should help me to pay,” he said.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari and 23 All Progressives Congress (APC) governors have been invited to the inauguration ceremony of the Ekiti State Governor-elect, Kayode Fayemi on October 16, 2018.

Addressed the media yesterday in Ado-Ekiti, the Inauguration Committee said the outgoing Governor Ayodele Fayose should attend the event at his discretion.

Part of the programme of events is a Lecture and Essay competition titled: Reclaiming Our Land, Restoring Our Values, Ekiti Of My Dream.
