Ibadan poly appoints Ipadeola as acting rector
Governing Council of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, has appointed Dr. Femi Ipadeola as the acting rector.
According to a statement made available to The Guardian by the school’s Public Relations Officer, Alhaji Soladoye Adewole, in Ibadan, Ipadeola was appointed after Prof. Olatunde Fawole had completed his five-year tenure and exited office on Wednesday, February 13, 2019.
Other acting management team members include Mrs. Elizabeth Omole (registrar), Joseph Oredola (bursar), Morounkola Danni (chief librarian) and Adeniyi Adegbola (director of works and services). The team will be running the affairs of the polytechnic pending the appointment of substantive officers.
Ipadeola, the Dean of Faculty of Business and Communication Studies, is the chairman of Committee of Deans of the school.
He is a communication scholar with experience spanning decades and currently the consulting Head of Station, Impact Africa Television (IATV), Channel 181 on the StarTimes.
