Ifon-Ilobu crisis: Adeleke directs security operatives to restore peace

The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has directed security operatives to restore peace between the Ifon and Ilobu communities in the state.
This followed an emergency security meeting with all security heads in Osun State for a comprehensive assessment and immediate action.
Spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, in a statement, said Adeleke urged the peace committee earlier set up to revive the peace deal between the communities.
The spokesperson said the governor decried the politicisation of the crisis just as he urged the task force to go after the ring leaders and ensure they face the full wrath of the law.
Rasheed said the governor lamented the repeated breach of peace deals among the warring communities and warned that his administration would take stringent action on the buffer zone between the two communities until the hostility is stopped.
