IGP assures officers on welfare, logistics

Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has assured the police of adequate welfare and logistics, disclosing that President Muhammadu Buhari is in the process of giving police barracks facelift.

Adamu, while addressing the officers and men of Oyo State police command at Eleyele in Ibadan yesterday, emphasised that Buhari had approved immediate promotion of committed and diligent officers.

The police chief also disclosed that the Federal Government had procured sophisticated operational vehicles with gadgets to make the officers more effective in policing the country.

“We appreciate your hard work. You have been doing a lot to keep this state safe for business to thrive. We know that there are isolated challenges, but without your input and dedication in fighting crime, the situation would have been worse. I would like to tell you that your effort is not going unnoticed.”
