Ikpeazu immortalises Ndubuisi Kanu with chair at Abia varsity

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has announced that a chair would be endowed in Abia State University, Uturu, in the name of the late Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (rtd).

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has announced that a chair would be endowed in Abia State University, Uturu, in the name of the late Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (rtd).

Kanu was military governor of old Imo State and Lagos.

He said the chair would boost study of Strategic Studies and Sustainable Development in the institution, adding that a yearly grant of N5 million would be awarded to deserving Abia citizens for academic pursuit at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru near Jos, Plateau State.

He spoke during a commendation service and Day of Tributes organised by the government in Umuahia for Kanu, who is to be interred today at his Orohoro town in Isuikwuato council area of the state.
