Imo AG recalls suspended directors, decries many cases hanging against government caused by Okorocha
Finding no fault against them, the new Attorney General and Commissioner for Imo State, Ndukwe Nnawuchi (SAN), has recalled all the directors and an acting director suspended by the immediate past governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha, for what the authorities considered as unjustifiable.
At an interaction with his immediate staff in Owerri, yesterday, the commissioner also decried many litigations against the state government, especially in the last eight years of the immediate past administration, regretting the distraction they are causing the present administration.
While stating the determination of the present administration to work with civil servants according to the rule of law and rules/regulatory engagement, he appealed to them to do their best by discharging their duties as a team to rebuild the state according to the mantra of the government.
Responding on behalf of others, the Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Chinyere Ibe, thanked the governor for appointing Nnawuchi to head the ministry, promising the cooperation of staff to discharge their duties accordingly.
