Imo State prepares for inauguration of governor-elect, deputy

Plans have been put in place for the inauguration and swearing-in of the Governor-elect of Imo State, Mr. Emeka Ihedioha and his deputy, Mr. Gerald Irona.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the committee, Chris Okewulonu, the four-day events will kick off on Sunday, May 26, 2019 with an interdenominational church service at Grasshoppers International Handball Stadium, Owerri, by noon.

On Monday, 27th, there would be art exhibition and novelty football match at Ahiajoku Convention Centre and Dan Anyiam Stadium, respectively.

The inauguration lecture holds on Tuesday, 28 at Ahiajoku Convention Centre at 10:00 a.m., while a mega youth concert takes place at the Grasshoppers International Handball Stadium.

They would be sworn in at Dan Anyiam Stadium followed by the state banquet at Ahiajoku Convention Centre at 6.00 p.m.
