The inability of government at all levels to include monarchs into its scheme of affairs has been observed as the major bane of security challenges presently bedeviling the country.

The Taraba state chapter of the President Muhammadu Buhari Support Organization (BSO) made this known yesterday through it state coordinator, Ahmad Zakari Nguroje, in an exclusive interview with The Guardian in Jalingo, saying that “drawing traditional rulers close to government” would go a long way in addressing the present woes of the country. He opined that dreams by the governments at all levels to permanently put an end to the security predicaments the country finds itself would continue to be a mirage, pending when relevant plans are fashioned out to carry along the traditional institution which according to him had been relegated to the background by past administrations.

Advocating for the immediate upgrading of the traditional institution, he observed that one of the reason why the country has found itself where it is today is because the traditional institution has been ignored.

Calling on the President to assist Taraba in fighting poverty, the need for the President to considered the state for the ministerial position of Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources, he believed would go along way to pull the state and the nation out of poverty.
