Nigeria’s leading instant noodles brand, Indomie, has celebrated more than 100,000 children across the country as part of its 2026 Children’s Day festivities, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to children’s welfare, family bonding and community engagement.
The nationwide celebration marked the 21st edition of the brand’s annual Children’s Day initiative and featured simultaneous events across major cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Anambra State and Abeokuta.
The flagship Lagos event, held at Apapa Amusement Park, attracted thousands of children and families for a day of rides, games, music, dance, entertainment and food experiences.
Speaking during the event, Faith Ogechukwu Joshua, said the company decentralised this year’s activities to accommodate the scale of participation expected nationwide.
“We’re celebrating well over 100,000 children nationwide this year, and this started about ten days ago because the capacity to achieve this in a single location is nearly impossible. That’s why we decentralised with a commitment to host over 100,000 children nationwide,” she said.
According to Joshua, the celebration brought together members of the Indomie Fan Club alongside pupils and families from different schools and communities across the country.

“This is the 21st edition of the Children’s Day celebration by Indomie. What’s different this year is that apart from bringing together new pupils and schools, there’s also the launch of an app designed to further deepen engagement with children and families,” she added.
The initiative also received commendation from the First Lady of Lagos State, Dr Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Mrs Subomi Sanwo-Olu.
“I’d like to specially appreciate the management of Dufil Prima Foods Limited, the makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, for sustaining this commendable initiative over the years. Your consistent investment in the welfare, happiness, and development of children in Nigeria is worthy of recognition and appreciation,” she stated.
For decades, Indomie has remained one of the country’s most recognisable household brands, supporting initiatives focused on children’s nutrition, education, entertainment and overall wellbeing.
The 2026 Children’s Day celebration further strengthened the brand’s relationship with Nigerian families while creating shared experiences for children and communities nationwide.
