The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has asked the people of Ebonyi State to insist on zoning as encapsulated in the charter of equity of their founding fathers

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has asked the people of Ebonyi State to insist on zoning as encapsulated in the charter of equity of their founding fathers to ensure that no zone or clan dominates others in the state.

President General of the group, Goodluck Ibem, and the Publicity Secretary, Okay Nwaoru, who stated this at the weekend when they endorsed the governorship candidate of Action Alliance (AA), Chukwuma Nwandugo, said that zoning had fostered peace and development in the state.

They stated that zoning currently favours the people of Ebonyi North Senatorial District, adding that good conscience demands that everybody supports someone from the area for equity, justice and Fairplay to be upheld.

They stated that Nwandugo, a former Commissioner for Works and Transport in Ebonyi, possesses the competence, exposure and integrity to govern the state in 2023.

“COSEYL, after a far-reaching appraisal of all governorship candidates in Ebonyi for the coming 2023 elections, hereby endorses the candidate of AA, Nwandugo, because he possesses the requisite experience, exposure, track record and integrity required to lead the state to greatness.

“Though we are non-partisan, but as a group mandated by our people to defend their political interest at all times, we have to declare our endorsement and support for Nwandugo, following his outstanding and quality performance when he held sway as Commissioner for Works and Transport, as well as his vast administrative, engineering and business acumen.

“Ebonyi people, having reportedly complained of being sidelined and other undemocratic tendencies in the affairs of their state under the current administration, the person and character of Nwandugo will soothe their souls and calm all frayed nerves. This is because Nwandugo possesses a rare humility, which is lacking in most politicians.

“We have repeatedly read that he vowed that if elected governor, he would run an all-inclusive government. This follows his belief that different human beings, irrespective of age, tribe, education and social class, populate the state,” COSEYL noted.
