Institution of estate surveyors holds conference in Ibadan

The 48th Annual National Conference (ANC) of The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers is here again and this year’s Conference is tagged OYO2018 slated for 20th through 24th March, 2018 in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The 48th Annual National Conference (ANC) of The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers is here again and this year’s Conference is tagged OYO2018 slated for 20th through 24th March, 2018 in Ibadan, Oyo State. This use to be the biggest event of the Institution and members are always preparing ahead basically to learn and network. This year’s theme is: “Real estate and infrastructure as drivers of national economic development.”

NIESV as a professional body was founded in 1969 and has since been offering a wide range of consulting services in property (Land and Building) viz Acquisition, Valuation, Development and Management among other professional services.

The President of the Institution, ESV Bolarinde J. Patunola-Ajayi said “the Annual National Conference of the Institution is an intensive five (5) days of learning, interacting and networking to enable our members to be up-to-date and meet up with the global best practices. This is the hallmark of any Conference”.

This year’s Conference will attract over 4,000 members and other participants and it will bring together professionals in public and private sectors to address vital issues of interdisciplinary and ethical concerns in infrastructural development, GIS and infrastructure facility Management, potentials of Real Estate Sector as a veritable tool for economic recovery and more.

The National Publicity Secretary of the Institution, ESV Charles Ebiai said the ancient and beautiful city, Ibadan hosted the first Conference in 1970 and history has repeat itself. According to him, the conference like others will record huge upsurge of participants from the built environment based on its theme and this will directly and indirectly benefit the Country’s economic development. He was of the view that this year’s conference will be different sequel to so many new innovations infuse into the planning of the Conference.
