SanlamAllianz Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to support families and investing in the future of young Nigerians with the successful hosting of the third edition of its yearly Children’s Day Funfair in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The event, held at the Garden City Amusement Park, brought together children and families of holders of the company’s Children Education Policy for a day of fun, learning, entertainment, and celebration.
The annual initiative, which has previously been hosted in Lagos and Abuja, is designed to create memorable experiences for children while strengthening the company’s relationship with policyholders and communities.
Speaking at the event, Group Head, Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Chris Ekwonwa, said the company remains committed to creating meaningful experiences that positively impact communities and inspire young people.
“At SanlamAllianz, we believe that every child deserves moments of joy, inspiration, and opportunity. The Children’s Day Funfair is one of the ways we connect with our communities and celebrate the incredible potential of young people. Seeing the excitement and smiles on the faces of the children reminds us of the positive impact that meaningful engagement can have,” he said.
In a press statement issued by Bankole Banjo, Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, SanlamAllianz Nigeria, the company noted that the annual event underscores its dedication to creating lasting value for customers beyond insurance coverage by fostering family-oriented experiences and supporting the wellbeing of children.
Banjo stated that the Children’s Day Funfair has become an important platform for engaging with policyholders and demonstrating the company’s commitment to the future of Nigerian children through its Children Education Policy.
According to him, “The event reflects our belief that insurance is not only about financial protection but also about supporting families and creating opportunities for children to thrive. Through initiatives like the Children’s Day Funfair, we continue to build stronger connections with our customers while contributing positively to the communities we serve.”
The funfair featured a variety of attractions and recreational activities tailored to different age groups. Children enjoyed access to amusement park facilities, interactive games, entertainment sessions, and other engaging experiences designed to encourage creativity, participation, and social interaction.
Parents and guardians who attended the event commended the company for providing a safe and family-friendly environment where children could celebrate a day dedicated to them.
According to the company, the Children’s Day Funfair reflects its broader commitment to promoting family wellbeing, inclusiveness, and positive social impact beyond the provision of insurance services.
The event concluded with appreciation to participating children, parents, employees, and partners whose contributions helped make the celebration a memorable one.
SanlamAllianz Nigeria, formed through the merger of Sanlam and Allianz in Nigeria in June 2025, has continued to strengthen its position in the insurance industry while implementing initiatives that support communities and deepen customer engagement. The company said it remains committed to delivering innovative insurance solutions and meaningful social impact across the country
