Ahead of its global premiere on Netflix on September 4, renowned filmmaker, Moses Inwang has released the official trailer for his highly anticipated action thriller/drama series, ‘Ordinary People‘.

The trailer offers the first look at the series’ intense action sequences, complex characters, and cinematic style that Inwang is known for. “Ordinary People is about the masks we wear and the truths we hide,” said the acclaimed director.

“I wanted to tell a story about people who look like us, live next door to us, and yet are capable of the extraordinary when pushed to the edge. This has been a labour of love, and I’m proud to finally share it with the world on Netflix,” he added.

The soon to be released action series parade a powerful cast ensemble that include Ramsey Nouah, Adunni Ade, Chidi Mokeme, Michelle Dede, and Lasisi Elenu. Also on the cast list are Uche Montana, Sharon Ooja, Eddy Watson, Jackie Appiah, Adjetey Anang, Shawn Faqua, Gbenga Titiloye, Bimbo Manuel, Aproko Doctor, Randa Eissa, Stanley Evans and Margaret Echeghe.

According to Inwang, the series took him three years to make, adding that ‘Ordinary People’ is the most star-studded film/series ever made in the history of Nigeria. The 8-episode series pulls back the curtain on the residents of Mirage Estate — an upscale community where perfect lawns hide imperfect lives.

The filmmaker in a post on social media, stated, “Six years ago I conceived it. For three years I have lived it, day and night, labouring to bring it to life. Today, I present to you the official trailer of Ordinary People!”

The series weaves together past secrets and present dangers as ordinary neighbors are forced to confront choices that will change everything. “Be careful! The ordinary people you call neighbours are not as ordinary as they seem,” he wrote.

Shot across multiple locations in Nigeria and Berlin Germany, the series blends high-stakes action with intimate human drama. It explores themes of loyalty, redemption, ambition, and survival as the lives of Mirage Estate residents collide. In the estate, nothing is what it seems. As past sins resurface, a group of residents must decide how far they will go to protect their present.

Inwang, a multiple award winning director, producer, and screenwriter has helmed blockbuster films like Blood Vessel, Alter Ego, Merry Men 2&3, Bad Comments, Crazy People, and Lockdown. With Ordinary People, he delivers his most ambitious project to date.
