Jigawa Police nab nine suspected armed robbers, kidnappers
Jigawa Police Command’s intelligence team has arrested a gang of nine notorious kidnappers.
The suspects were apprehended through combined efforts of joint patrol surveillance embarked upon by officers and intelligence personnel of the Command in different locations.
The state’s Commissioner of Police (CP) Effiom Emmanuel told newsmen at the Command’s Headquarters in Dutse, that the suspects were among the notorious gang of armed robbery and kidnap syndicates with the assistance of their masters from neighbouring states of Kano, Bauchi, Borno and Adamawa as well as Niger Republic.
He said: “The suspects were arrested through security devices employed by the police in tracking criminals of different dimensions.
“The suspects would be charged to court after intense investigations to unravel the fleeing ones as most of the suspects are high profile suspected criminals.”
