Jimoh Ibrahim picks Ondo PDP guber form
Pledges prompt payment of salaries
Politician and businessman, Jimoh Ibrahim yesterday purchased the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nomination form to contest the governorship seat in Ondo State under the Ali Modu Sheriff-led group.
He said the prompt payment of salaries of workers in the state would be his priority if elected governor, adding that all arrears would be paid within the first 100 days in office.
On why he did not approach the Ahmed Makarfi caretaker committee to pick his form, he stated that Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led national caretaker committee has no locus standi in law to claim leadership of the party.
In a speech on the occasion, Sheriff stated that his relationship with Jimoh has lasted for many years, adding that the businessman was part of those who persuaded him into seeking governorship office in Borno State.
