Jukun condemns attack on Ishaku residence

• Urge Buhari To Take Action Against Perpetrators
The leadership of the Jukun Development Association of Nigeria (JDAN) has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to identify, arrest, dismiss and prosecute, all security personnel involved in the recent raid on the house of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku of Taraba State.

The raid, according to the group, had raised disturbing question on a series of human rights violations, abuse and intimidation of Nigerians by security agents.

A statement signed by its National President, Bako Benjamin, yesterday in Jalingo, read: “Impunity occurs when threats, attacks and crimes against constituted authorities go unpunished”

They wondered why such act was meted on a governor, who they said ought to be protected by immunity clause and security agents and admonished Nigerians to rise “against this ugly act” which they said is capable of thwarting the dream of the president towards ensuring peace on the nooks and crannies of the country.
