Kebbi governor donates money, items to soldiers’ widows in Dukku Barrack

In its efforts to provide assistance to the families of the fallen heroes, who sacrifices their lives for the protection of the country, Kebbi State Governor Sen. Atiku Abubakar Bagudu, yesterday, donated money and materials worth million of naira to the widows of the solders, who died on active service.

Presenting the items and money during a courtesy visit on the widows at the Dukku Barrack, Birnin Kebbi, Governor Atiku said the gesture is to assist the families of the deceased, who lost their lives and left behind children, assuring that his administration would continue to support them and ensure that their problems are looked into and  solved when needed.

“Am hear to sympathise with you people and render necessary assistance to the families. Time to time, I shall be visiting Barrack to hear the complains with view to solve the problems” he added.

He then prayed Allah to bless the widows and give families courage to bear the lost of their fathers.

In his response, the Commanding Officer (C.O) of the Dukku Barracks, Birnin Kebbi, Captain Aliyu Adam thanked the state Governor for the visit and concern shown to them.

He also assured the Governor that the Soldiers in the state would never forget the numerous assistance rendered to them.
