Kerosene explosion kills two in Ebonyi 


Two persons were confirmed dead, following a kerosene explosion that occurred in Umuebe village, Ezzamgbo community in Ohaukwu Local Council Area of Ebonyi State.

It was alleged that the kerosene, which allegedly caused the explosion, and bought from a filling station located at Ezzamgbo junction was discovered to be adulterated.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Loveth Odah, said the filling station’s manager, Emmanuel Omiyi, and the kerosene pump attendant, Anayo Ayu, have been arrested for interrogation. 

She said experts in petroleum products have taken some samples from the facility for laboratory test.
