The scheduled trial of ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, stalled, yesterday, at the Federal High Court, Lagos, due to the absence of the prosecutor, Festus Keyamo.

Tompolo had been charged with a N47.6billion fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Keyamo wrote to the court asking for an adjournment on the ground that his main witness was not available for Thursday.

Consequently, the trial judge, Ibrahim Buba, adjourned the case till December 13 and 14, 2016, for trial.
