Khadijat Mohammed is Azimuth Junior Tennis super champion

Khadijat Mohammed from Abuja stunned the field by winning two different age categories at the Azimuth Shipping Lines Limited Junior Tennis Championship, which ended in Lagos at the weekend.

Khadijat Mohammed from Abuja stunned the field by winning two different age categories at the Azimuth Shipping Lines Limited Junior Tennis Championship, which ended in Lagos at the weekend.
   
Mohammed defeated Bright Emmanuel in the Girls U-14 category before overpowering Success Ogunjobi in the Girls U-16 cadre to become a double champion.
 
For her efforts, Mohammed took home the education grants for both categories, as well as the winners’ trophies and medals.
   
In the boys’ U-16 category, Oluwaseyi Ogunshakin got the better of his rival and friend, Mubarak Ganiyu, in a thrilling final game, which capped an amazing week of tennis inside the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan.
 
Speaking at the prize presentation, Captain Stephen Owolabi Martins, MD/CEO of Azimuth Shipping Lines Limited and sponsor of the competition, said the aim of the competition is being met, adding that they will keep improving on the event every year.
