Tayo Kimberly Adejumo, Founder and CEO of KÏMBERLŸS GROUP, has said the conglomerate is a collection of experiences driven by a hunger to provide solutions, rather than simply a desire to make money.
TayoAdejumo, who is an environment and architectural strategist with extensive expertise in infrastructure and housing development, said the group has grown into a dominant force in the industries in which it operates, with her vision continuing to drive the purpose of each entity.
Speaking in an interview on how KÏMBERLŸS GROUP came to be, Tayo Adejumo said: “KÏMBERLŸS GROUP did not simply arrive as a group. It became one. When I started working for myself, beginning with trade, events and different commercial activities, I did not envisage that one day all of these experiences would become a group of companies. I have always been very focused on what is directly in front of me. I learn something, experience something, identify another need, develop another capability and keep moving. So KÏMBERLŸS GROUP is really the trail of that journey. It is a collection of experiences, exposure, curiosity, mistakes, learning and accumulated competence.”
Tayo Adejumo added: “The inspiration was never simply a hunger to make money. Of course a business must make money and remain commercially viable, but that has never been the thing that makes me begin. What drives me is the desire to solve, participate and contribute. I want to understand things more deeply, and when I believe I can contribute something useful, I want to participate in creating the solution.”
KÏMBERLŸS GROUP’s diversification journey started piece by piece, shaped by the experiences of the visioner. Years after, it has become a leading service provider in the housing, electrical and smart-renewable businesses.
“The KÏMBERLŸS GROUP has evolved into an ecosystem rather than a single-line business. Our activities span lighting and electrical solutions, renewable and smart-energy infrastructure, construction, property development, housing, interior architecture and living environments, procurement and global sourcing, hospitality and serviced apartments, creative production, technology and experience development,” the CEO said.
“Construction, procurement, interiors and Kimberly’s Electric remain important commercial engines within the Group. But increasingly, what connects our businesses is not the individual product being sold. It is our ability to conceptualise, source, design, build, integrate and deliver environments and experiences from beginning to end. That integrated capability is becoming one of the strongest expressions of KÏMBERŸS GROUP.”
Tayo Adejumo, who hails from Osun State, arrives here on the back of rich academic exposure, having schooled in the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria to become the game-changer.
