The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and others have jointly curbed the fire outbreak in NNPC Filling Station, Fadeyi, Lagos.

Our correspondent gathered that the fire incident occurred at 7:24 pm on Thursday.

LASEMA in a statement said upon arrival of its Cobra Team to the scene of the incident a tanker with registration number ABC 594 XC loaded with 45,000 litres of PMS was engulfed by fire.

LASEMA Permanent Secretary, Dr. Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, said further information revealed the fire started when the product was being discharged.

“However, swift response of responders was fast enough to contain the fire without spreading to adjourning building and also safeguarding the Filling station from being razed by the inferno,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.

Responders at the scene include the Cobra Team, LRU fire, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, LASTMA, Lasambus, Fed Fire, and the NPF are all responders at the scene.
