Stakeholders’ forum to hold May 9
Lagos State Government has intensified efforts at reducing industrial and noise pollution in the state. In this direction a stakeholders’ forum may hold on May 9, 2016.
Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), according to the Commissioner for The Environment, Dr. Samuel Adejare, has encouraged companies and entities to switch from diesel powered generators, folk lifts and machines to gas-powered energy, which he said, “is cheaper, safer and cleaner.”
Adejare added that over 300 have since complied.
On noise pollution, the commissioner said 833 complaints were received by LASEPA, while 219 were corrected.
