Lagos State police command arrest vandals
Three suspected vandals have been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos Police Command in Tom Jones area of Lagos Island.
A spokesperson for the Lagos Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement, said a minibus, popularly called Korope, two carts, and bridge railings were recovered from the vandals.
The vandals were arrested on Saturday, 19 August 2023 during RRS operatives’ routine patrol of the area.
The suspects are Faruk Abubakar aged 32, Yusuph Balogun aged 36, and Timothy Dauda aged 49.
The bars of aluminum railings are believed to have been cut from the Third Mainland Bridge.
Their arrest comes on the heels of other recent and similar arrests of vandals made by the CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi-led RRS operatives.
Meanwhile, the three suspects have since been charged in court.
