Lalong condemns fresh attacks on Plateau

Reacting to the killing of three residents, including an eight-month pregnant woman, in Bassa Local Council on Sunday, the governor urged security personnel to put an end to the senseless killings in the country.

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, has prayed God to intervene in the country’s security situation.

Reacting to the killing of three residents, including an eight-month pregnant woman, in Bassa Local Council on Sunday, the governor urged security personnel to put an end to the senseless killings in the country.

It was gathered that two persons were also injured during the attack in Zargwra community of Miango district. The Guardian learnt that the victims were relaxing in their residence on Sunday evening when the gunmen emerged from the bush and attacked them.

Spokesman for Miango Youths Development Association, Mr. Nuhu Bitrus, condemned the killings and called on government’s intervention.
