LAPO rewards 300 customers, canvasses support for women
The management of LAPO Micro Financial Bank has rewarded 300 customers in recognition of their quality contribution and commitment to the sustainability and development of the institution.
The bank said the decision was to empower more people as a means to reduce poverty, especially among women in the country.
The bank’s Managing Director, Godwin Ehigiamusoe stated this at the South-South Clients’ Forum of the company, held in Owerri.
He said: “to a large extent LAPO has contributed to job creation, with the employment of over 7000 staff across the country and has also influenced Nigeria’s financial industry, influence access to credit and invested in health awareness and scholarships.”
The LAPO MD disclosed that the company disbursed about N14.5b to its clients across the country as loan, which was targeted towards reducing poverty rate among the women.
